I began making this soap for my own sensitive skinned Boxer dog who, whenever he came across it, rolled in the most unmentionable things at every opportunity, (with the favourite being fox poop)
Our natural shampoo bar is perfect for washing your furry friends, made with 100% natural, vegetable butters and natural botanicals.
Our dog shampoo contains a soothing and conditioning Organic Shea butter base, Organic Cold Pressed Neem oil and Calendula, both are especially helpful at repelling parasites and treating a variety of skin complaints.
 
Dogs noses are 500 times more sensitive than ours, fragrance added to animal products are for human benefit and certainly not the animals.
Animals do not like perfume!
 
What is Neem oil?
Neem oil is an excellent natural alternative to medications to repel fleas, ticks, and other parasites as it is not toxic for dogs. Neem has traditionally been used in Ayurvedic medicine and is highly valued to treat skin complaints, both human and animal. Neem is antibacterial, anti-fungal and also an effective natural insecticide, its rich in compounds such as Nimbidin, Nimbin, and Quercetin that work as natural anti-inflammatories and anti-histamines.
 
What is Calendula?
Calendula Officinalis is also known as pot marigold boasts anti-inflammatory, antiviral, antibacterial and anti-fungal properties. Calendula is prised by herbalists for its versatile benefits. Triterpene saponins, flavonoids, carotinoids, and volatile oils give it anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, antiviral.
Calendula is most popular, however, as a wound healer and skin-repair herb. It is known to speed the healing of cuts, burns, and abrasions by promoting the formation of granulation tissue while preventing bacterial growth. 
 
Please don’t get soap in your dogs eyes! Soap can sting!
After washing your dog with a shampoo bar, for long hair dogs I recommend rinsing with diluted apple cider vinegar (1 part white vinegar to 4 parts water) to help remove any soap residue and to leave your dog’s coat clean, fresh and shiny. Harmless to dogs…. Ticks and fleas detest vinegars!
Rinse well.
Don’t use vinegar on broken skin.
Keep out of eyes, soap stings!
 
Tested on friends/family members including the fluffy variety.
Does not contain Cocao Butter of essential oils which are harmful to dogs!
